Dan hosts two successful podcasts across completely separate subjects, highlighting his interest in almost anything, and skills in having a detailed conversation about it too.
Fun Kids Science Weekly
He presents the ‘Fun Kids Science Weekly’, chatting about the most amazing, weird and dangerous things happening in the universe, while interviewing a huge range of guests. He’s chatted to Tim Peake about space service stations, to Professor Aoife McLysaght ahead of her BBC Christmas Lecture about why we’re almost identical to apes, and to a man who seriously believes he’s bought a one-way ticket to the moon.
The show is rarely out of the top 10 in the chart of the best Kids and Family podcasts in the UK on Apple (most of the ones above are mums talking all about babies) and it’s listened to by thousands of people across the world.
Writer’s Routine
Also, he’s created, produces and presents ‘Writers Routine’, a show which takes a look inside the working day of a successful author. After only 6 months, it was awarded Silver in ‘Best Culture’ at the ‘British Podcast Awards’, and gets consistent critical acclaim. For this, he regularly interviews some of the biggest writers around, from Ian Rankin and Karin Slaughter, to Anthony Horowitz and Cecelia Ahern.
